Start your journey south on the Parkway from Pigeon Forge, then hop on the Gatlinburg bypass (the turn-off on the right side is signposted just about a mile south of the Gatlinburg Welcome Center). After passing the Sugarlands Visitor Center, turn right on Fighting Creek Gap Road to head towards Townsend, then loop back to Pigeon Forge via Wears Valley Road!
