The annual Pigeon Forge Winterfest celebration kicks off in early November, so head on down to the Smokies to enjoy this exciting city-wide festival! This is a chance to enjoy dozens of amazing light displays, including 20 new displays that feature a colorful 52-foot-long caterpillar, larger-than-life flowers, Old Man Winter, and more! 1. Winterfest Driving Tour of Lights

If you enjoy taking a motorcycle ride in the Smokies, then you’ll really love the Winterfest Driving Tour of Lights! This is the best way to soak in the atmosphere of all the holiday light displays throughout Pigeon Forge, and everything kicks off at the north end of the Parkway! Altogether, you’ll get to experience more than 6 million sparkling holiday lights as you cruise down the Parkway! There have been over 1 million LED lights added to the city’s Winterfest displays this year alone, some of which stand more than 25 feet tall!

2. Winterfest of Lights Walking Trail

The 6-mile out-and-back trail spans the Riverwalk from the access point in the city’s Municipal Parking Lot to the approximate intersection of Old Mill Avenue and Butler Street. While exploring the trail, you’ll encounter walk-thru arches, vibrant snowflakes, glowing bears, deer, and even a 20-foot-tall ice fountain! This is the perfect opportunity to stretch your legs during your driving tour of the city!

3. Wonders of Light Christmas Village

If you’re lucky enough to be in Pigeon Forge in November, you won’t want to miss the Wonders of Light Christmas Village at Patriot Park! This event takes place on three consecutive weekends throughout November and features over 35 booths of unique arts and crafts items! The best part is that admission to the Wonders of Light Christmas Village is completely free, so bring the whole gang along to get a head start on your Christmas shopping!

4. Winterfest at The Island

While strolling through this huge shopping, dining, and entertainment complex, you’ll also get to see several large Christmas trees! This includes a stunning tree that stands 40 feet tall, and you can even walk right through the middle of it! Santa and Mrs. Claus will also be on hand to greet guests at their workshop as carolers fill the air with your favorite Christmas music!
